New on Version 1.3

1. In the My Joys view, swipe actions are no longer available. The Save as Picture and Delete options are now accessed via the context menu (long press on a joy).
2. Joys in the My Joys view are now grouped by Month/Year, giving users a clearer sense of time and progression.
3. Users can filter their joys (Total / Big / Small) by tapping the filter buttons in the Joy Statistics section of the Settings view.
4. A new Monthly Joy Heat Map is available in Joy Statistics, allowing users to see their joy activity across each month.
5. The bottle in the main view is now tappable, providing the same function as the Shake for Joy button.

What’s this APP

LetJoyIn 喜事入 is a gentle, private iOS app that helps you capture and treasure your joyful moments, like glowing notes kept safe in a bottle.

It doesn’t manipulate, compete, or pressure.
It’s a space where joys are treated with care.
It doesn’t demand your time, but offers peace whenever you give it.

Your privacy comes first: there’s no cloud connection, no account, no tracking. All your joys live safely on your phone, and only you can see them.

Most of us aren’t short on happy moments, we’re just short on noticing them.
LetJoyIn isn’t only about recording joys; it’s about gently shifting your focus away from negative noise and toward what truly matters.

Why this APP

LetJoyIn 喜事入 began as a small section on my personal website five years ago, created to capture little moments of joy. I used to designed a LetJoyIn T-shirt and sent it to friends, and years later, seeing one of friends wear it to dinner, which made me feel proud.

And, my wife’s constant encouragement kept the idea alive.

One day, while waiting for a train at Shanghai Hongqiao Railway Station, watching people come and go, I don’t know why, but just thought it was time to finally make the app.

Definition of Joys

You can record any joyful moment in your life, big or small:

• 🏆 Big Joys: Life milestones like graduation, weddings, promotions.
• ☕️ Small Joys: Simple pleasures like a good cup of coffee or a smile from a stranger.

Main Screen

• Elegant bottle design with realistic glass effects and a cap.
• Floating “joy dots” that move with your phone’s tilt.
• Two colors: Gold for big joys, pink for small joys.
• Shake feature: Shake your phone 6 times to reveal a random past joy with the message: “You’ve felt joy before — and you will again.”
• Joy counter showing total moments (tap to open settings and statistics).
• Two main buttons: Add a Joy and Shake for Joy.

Add Joy Screen

• Select joy size: Big or Small.
• Text area to describe your joy.
• Optional photo picker to capture the moment visually.
• Save button to add it to your bottle.

• All joys listed with the newest first.
• Joy cards showing text, photos, date, and joy type.
